Use the black logo when the composition palette does not match the logo colors or when it is dominated by light shades.
Black logo can be used without white fill if it's easy to read
White logo

How not to do
Don't remove the white fill from the colored logo
Don't change the colors of the logo, even if it looks great ;)
Don't distort the proportions of the logo
