Technoid
Technoid is a style of electronic music inspired by IDM, experimental techno and noise. Its sound is greatly influenced by IDM, noise, and industrial.
Birth: 1986 Bloom: 1992 Death: 1995
Artists of this style often use unusual sounds like their own records of environment, sounds of 8-bit electronic equipment or samples from opposite music styles.
Even two consecutive albums of one technoid artist can be very different due to sound experiments. The German Hymen Records label is one of the main labels promoted the development of this style. Some tracks by pioneers of British synth music can be attributed to the technoid style — the Cabaret Voltaire project, and music by their followers.
Umbrellate style: Industrial
