Dub Techno
Dub techno is a subgenre of techno. It`s typified by the usage of reverberation, echoes, and delays. Often pauses between sounds are very important.
Birth: 1992 Bloom: 2002
The origins of dub techno can be traced back to experiments by Basic Channel in 1990s Berlin, Moritz von Oswald and Mark Ernestus also developed ideas of dub techno in their next project Rhythm & Sound and on the Chain Reaction label.
There are not so many musicians of this style, but recently the dub techno scene began to be enriched by young producers who gave a new treatment to the genre.
It`s better to start listen to dub techno with Monolake, Bvdub, Sandwell, District, Brickman.
