Gangsta Rap
Gangsta rap is a sub genre of hip hop music typified by hard and noise sound with expressive and obscene lyrics. Gangsta rap originated from hardcore rap esthetics in the late 80s.

In the terms of lyrics the style is characterized by rude rappers talks about urban disorder. Sometimes lyrics consist accurate representations of reality, sometimes lyrics can be comics full of exaggerations. Anyway, gangsta rap became the most commercially successful style in the history of hip-hop since the late 80s until the early 90s.
Besides, gangsta rap was the reason for considerable disagreements because some conservative organizations tried to stop selling of gangsta rap albums. Even when several gangsta rap bands were displaced from leading record label companies by groups of activists they just continued to record obscene music.
