Horrorcore emerged due to activities of projects such as The Flatlinerz, Insane Poetry, The Gravediggaz, Ganxsta NIP, Esham (The Unholy), and Brotha Lynch Hung. 



Among other influential groups (not of horrorcore) attention should be paid to Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Anybody Killa, Dark Lotus, Mars, Jedi Mind Tricks, House of Krazees, Necro, Mr.Hyde, Ill Bill, Bedlam, Prozak, Mastamind, TnT, Chamber and others. 
 


Many people think that horrorcore appeared because of excessive cruelty, which belongs to founders of this style, but actually artists of this style just reflect everyday life. Meanwhile, life in those districts, which usually are described in rap songs, isn`t so pleasant, so that`s why the style became so popular. 

If you want to make a horrorcore track you just have to take a gangsta rap track and make it extremely conflicting, hard and even cruel (lyrics have to look like a script for a horror movie). 



Horrorcore isn`t just a form of expression of negative emotions, it`s a form of hatred to everything around. It`s a phenomenon when devastation, anger and fear are overwhelming.
