Dark Progressive
Dark progressive is an actively growing experimental movement of electronic music, a branch of progressive house, mostly characterized by dark infernal aesthetics.
Birth: 1997 Bloom: 2002
Compositions of this style usually have a deep massive atmosphere, characteristic rhythms, and the lack of melody. A specific sound is made by analog instruments, special effects, elements of ethnic, oriental, occult music, and psychedelic effects.
Notable representative of this style are Moshic (Israel), Faskil (France), Kintar (Argentina). Nowadays purveyors of the genre include labels such as Contrast Records, FeralCode Records, Frisky Records.
